Tentative Program as follows:
The PennApic spring workshop is open to the public. It is focused on potential new and beginner beekeepers. PennApic members also include those who keep mason bees, are avid gardeners, and nature loving folks.
8:00 - 12:00 Beginner Beekeeping Workshop Program
Beginner program will include equipment displays, observation hive, products of the hive demonstations, alternative beekeeping, mason bee demonstration, and ample time to ask questions and gain knowledge from experienced beekeepers. A childrens activity program will also be offered. Two vendors will have equipment available for puchase. An observation hive will be given as a door prize. This is the place to rub elbows, ask questions, and get the one on one chat time with experienced beekeepers.

11:00 - 11:30 Youth in Beekeeping Awards.
11:30 - 12:00 PennApic Board Meeting/Elections
1:00 - 2:00 We will be having "Birds of Prey" presentation. A great treat for the whole family. See a Great Horned Owl, Red Tail Hawk, and an American Kestrel.
2:30 - 4:00 The movie presentation "Queen of the Sun". This movie highlights the bee industry, the recent problems with honey bees (CCD) and some of the issues impacting the environment. A must see for all!
1:00 - 4:00 Alternative Program for beekeepers - Outdoor Advance Beekeeping Program. (Weather permitting)
4:00 - 5:00 Door prizes, and round table discussion.
All attendees are asked to make plans to spend the entire day if possible. The firehouse has a fully equiped kitchen facility. Lunch will be a la carte. (pay as you go)
